Welcome World of Their Own to their new home at Hornbeam Park Harrogate! They’ll be swinging open those saloon doors this weekend for pre-booked parties but their official opening day will be Tuesday 4th February!
World of Their Own have been based out in Bishop Monkton at The Grass Roots since 2018 but have now moved to their new home at Hornbeam Park, and we’ve been given an exclusive look around!
World of Their Own is a firm favourite amongst the Mumbler community – in 2018 they were awarded the Highly Commended New Comer and in 2019 Highly Commended Party Provider at our annual Mumbler Awards. If you haven’t been before – then imagine a full on Wild West film set, but in miniature! We’ve been loads with our little girl and I must say, its pretty obvious the parents have as much fun as the children! My husband’s the first to put on a cowboy hat, wield a pistol and chase our little one into the jail! It’s an authentic role play experience, the little outlaws can escape from the Jail, rob the Wild West Bank and even play barmaid/man with all the soft mixers in the Cowgirl Saloon (all sugar free!). That’s not all – theres also, Tin Can Valley, Cowboy Shoot Out, Spooky Gold Mine to explore as well as the Rodeo Bounce House. And don’t even get me started on the fancy dress stash they’ve got – those pink cowboy boots!
If you went to their old site you’ll know how brilliant it is, and we can confirm that their new site is bigger and even better than before!! We had an exclusive look around yesterday and its awesome – Crista and Lee have been busy creating this magical Wild West adventure, and their hard work has certainly paid off. We managed to get some exclusive shots to show you exactly what it’s going to be like.
You’ll find they’re busy most weekends hosting their fabulous Wild West Birthday Parties. If you’re thinking having your child’s party here then get it booked ASAP – they are ridiculously popular! They’re suitable for up to around 8 year olds. They offer three different party packages – the Rowdy Round-up, Little Indians and Golden Nugget. Whatever package you chooses, all parties have exclusive and private use of the Wild West Play Village. For more information on party packages click here.
But its not just parties they do – the Wild West Play Village is also open for their unique and brilliant play experiences throughout the week – apart from Monday when they take a well deserved break!
Throughout term time, they offer 3 play experiences a day lasting 2 hours. During this time, their Deputies will initiate Wild West inspired activities and role play to inspire your little outlaw’s imaginations and learning. The first session of the day is 9.30am – 11.30am and is aimed at toddlers – if you can get down on a Tuesday or Friday they do a special “Honky Tonk Toddler Adventures” which offer a more sensory experience. The next play experience is from 12.30pm – 2.30pm, with the last one from 3- 5.30pm – perfect for after school!
For the enjoyment of everyone, they have a strict limit on the number of little outlaws playing in any one session. It is always advisable to pre-book online .
There are occasional weekend play experiences, if there are no parties booked. Its best keeping an eye out on their Facebook page, and its definitely advisable to book!
Not only do they do parties and play sessions – in the school holidays they also run special Wild West Workshops and Play sessions too. They last just over 2 hours and include, over an hour’s play in the Wild West play village, an art workshop followed by lunch or tea. You can book your place now for this half term.
The new place – looks brilliant! And fear not – for those parents like me who loved going to WOTO for their cake fix – they’ll be hot and cold drinks as well as cakes from Harrogate Cake Lady and donuts from Harrogate’s favourite DOE. So get your cow boy boots on and get ready to play – Wild West style! Yeeeee Haaaaa!
