We are looking for a passionate individual with cooking experience to support our catering team in providing a professional level of food and service to our hospice patients, visitors, and team at North Yorkshire Hospice Care.
The successful candidate would be able to demonstrate good cooking ability, ensuring food is produced on time to a high standard. An understanding of food hygiene is crucial, with candidates expected to hold or have previously held a Food Hygiene Certificate. You will have an awareness of kitchen health and safety, which will aid you in operating kitchen equipment securely.
You will be a personable and warm individual, able to maintain productive working relationships with other departments. In the absence of the Catering Manager, you will be able to support the Kitchen Porters to maintain effective day-to-day operations, working with a respectful and positive attitude.
As part of our focus on professional development, we are also working with local training partners to offer opportunities to gain catering qualifications.
