These plants are not only used in the district’s stunning floral displays but are also available for purchase, allowing you to bring a piece of Harrogate’s beauty into your own garden.
Mother’s Day Specials
This Mother’s Day, the nursery has curated a special collection of plants that are sure to bring joy and colour to any garden. Whether your mum loves vibrant flowers or lush greenery, there’s something for everyone. The selection includes a variety of perennials and outdoor plants that will thrive in your garden year after year. From charming primula pubescens mix to the classic beauty of Lavender, you’ll find the perfect gift to brighten your mum’s day.
In addition to these, the nursery offers a variety of seasonal bedding plants that go into Harrogate’s award-winning floral beds, from primroses to polyanthus’ you’re spoilt for choice. You can also find decorative planters and gardening sundries to complement your plant gifts. If you’re unsure what to choose, consider purchasing a gift card. Available in denominations of £5, £10, and £20, these gift cards can be redeemed at the nursery shop and are valid for 12 months.

Valley Gardens boasts four tennis courts, an 18-hole crazy golf course, a nine-hole disc golf course, and table tennis facilities. For those who love a bit of adventure, there’s a skate park suitable for BMX, skateboards, and scooters. Orienteering enthusiasts can explore the short course supported by Claro Orienteering Club, with maps available from the games pavilion.
The gardens are also home to a modern adventure playground, perfect for kids to climb and swing to their heart’s content. On warm days, the paddling pool is a great spot for children to splash around and cool off. During the Easter holidays including bank holiday, we’re open from 11am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 5.30pm at weekends.
