Christmas at Harrogate Theatre

December is jam packed with great shows – and we’re not just talking about panto!

It is the most fabulous time of the year – and entertainer extraordinaire John Barrowman  will be celebrating the festive season with fans on Friday 6 December.

Expect an evening of superb musicianship with Rick Wakeman on Tuesday 10 December, featuring music from YES, early Bowie hits and Rick’s own solo epics, interspersed with knockabout humour.

Super fan? Grab the exclusive VIP meet and greet experience. The Overtones are bringing their Christmas party to us Thursday 12 December – just great, timeless music, an incredible show and you can even meet the boys with the special VIP package.

Go for maximum rhythm and blues with 60s Manfred Mann on Saturday 14 December, one of the finest and most respected bands of that era.

The Bootleg Beatles, Thursday 19 December, never disappoint with their authentic period costumes and instruments, to their witty stage banter and ‘inflection perfect’ vocals. With a little help from their own orchestral ensemble and featuring a special set to mark the 50th anniversary of Abbey Road, this show is an absolute must for Beatlemaniacs of all ages.

Prefer something spooky? Nothing says festive like the Victorian classic A Christmas Carol Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 December. Presented by the creative team behind A Book of Darkness and Light, this is their first foray into classic literature, combining the unmistakable prose of Charles Dickens with an original, live violin score.

Dead Men’s Eyes, Friday 20 – Sunday 22 December, is the sixth instalment of Nunkie’s M R James Project, a series of one-man supernatural storytelling shows featuring two chilling and thrilling tales from M R James, the master of the English ghost story.
