New Student last term. We love welcoming new students to our classes and supporting them to blossom.

Drama Kids and DK Youth Theatre classes nurture ALL children to help them achieve their potential. Our unique Development Through Drama programme increases children’s Confidence, Social Skills and Creativity and boosts Self-Esteem

Hour-long classes include a new improvisation or script every week. Performance on stage in July with each child is fully involved in the whole piece.

Afterschool sessions for Reception, Years 1&2, and Years 3-6

Enchantica’s Workshop is a creativity and well-being studio on the south side of Harrogate that offers workshops and classes to help children, adults and families shine bright.

Yoga, dance and well-being focused creative movement and mindfulness activities have so many benefits for our children. Finding ways to weave a regular well-being practice into your weekly routine is one of the best ways that we can support our children to be their brightest selves.

Choose from Rising Stars, Musical Theatre or Creative Dance sessions for your child:

Rising Stars sessions combine drama, yoga and mindfulness into an immersive learning experience teaching children to shine bright. Sessions include yoga, drama, stories, movement, singing, dance, speech exercises, along with mindfulness and relaxation. The sessions have been designed to help children relax, improve their self-esteem, focus, be imaginative and creative, sleep better and make friends…. And to the children it feels like “magic club”!

Musical Theatre sessions combine dance, singing, acting and physical theatre. These sessions work on skills such as: connecting movement and actions to the lyrics, retaining these movements and lyrics, adding new elements and layers to the performance each week, spatial awareness, and partner work. We will work on set musical number each half term.

Creative Dance sessions are a fabulously fun way for your children to get moving in a free and creative way. We work through many dance/movement styles each class to all their favourite songs creating a safe and exciting environment for free expression. As with all our classes there is a well-being focus, for this class it will be focussed around how and what the different movements and music make you feel. It will help your children understand how their emotions develop physically and give them the knowledge of what helps them feel good.

All classes have a strong well-being focus. Participating pupils will learn how to manage difficult emotions, how to bring their own ideas to life and improve focus and self-esteem. Children are encouraged to try new things embrace a growth mindset and believe in the power of themselves and their brains, developing lots of confidence along the way.

Sessions last 45 minutes, run weekly during term time and are booked in half term blocks.

Our weekend performing arts academy offers an incredible variety of classes, ensuring every young person finds their thing. From getting hands on with professional filmmaking equipment in our Film & TV class, to writing their own stand up comedy shows in Comedy & Drama and learning show-stopping choreography in Musical Theatre.

But at PQA Harrogate, we don’t just prepare your child to flourish on a stage or behind the camera; we equip them with invaluable skills for the everyday scene.

But beyond the hustle and bustle of a film set or the stage, what we’re really all about is helping children discover their amazing self. All whilst learning and having fun in a safe and inclusive environment. Our mission is to nurture self-belief, empowering young individuals to discover their unique voice and be proudly visible in every aspect of their lives.
