Relish Nutrition Consultancy is owned by Dr Clare Grace, a registered dietitian and nutritionist, best known for her work in weight management.
She has over twenty-two years experience of working with people who are trying to lose weight, and sustain this long term, so she understands what a difficult and complex challenge this can be. She works with clients in a caring and compassionate way aiming to guide and support people while they overcome their struggles with eating and weight to truly find healthier foods they enjoy.
She was the lead dietitian in several NHS specialist weight management services in London, supporting people with severe weight problems and has recently relocated back to her roots in Yorkshire and established a private practice. Clare also has a nutrition research background so she is skilled in how to interpret dietary studies, is committed to providing evidence based treatment, and can address any confusion clients may have over conflicting and misleading dietary advice.
Clare is an enthusiastic cook having initially qualified as a Home Economist so she is well placed to modify recipes and develop meal plans. She is one of a small number of people in the UK qualified as an MB-EAT instructor. MB-EAT [Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness] is an evidenced programme helpful in treating emotional, stress related, and/or binge eating. Through the use of eating exercises, guided meditation and self care it helps people with the choice about when to start and finish eating and how to enjoy food without the guilt and struggle commonly linked with dieting.
