Data Support Administrator with Combined Academic Publishers
Location: Combined Academic Publishers, Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG1 2PW
Terms: £18-22k full time 9am to 5pm (35 hour week) depending upon experience plus possible bonus and pension. A flexible working week may be considered for the right candidate, and a pro rata salary for reduced hours.

CAP is looking for Data Support Administrator to support the data, logistics and marketing teams. Responsibilities will include: • Validate existing organisational data and assist with the creation of new data. • Maintain consistent bibliographic data across the database and in-house systems. • Data entry. • Help to ensure that all in house systems are kept updated. • Transfer and update order data into the in-house tracking system and monitoring shipments. • Process and track all client orders, quickly & effectively. • Liaise with suppliers to ensure deliveries are carried out. • Ensure all documents relating to supply chain process are retained in accordance with the company’s quality requirements. • Communicating with clients and partners via phone and email. • Maintaining organisational data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act.
Essential experience/skills required: • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Experience of data entry and administration tasks, and ability to process high volumes of work. • Excellent numerical skills and ability to use spreadsheets to analyse data and spot trends. • Self-motivation and ability to plan time effectively to achieve deadlines. • An enthusiasm for attention to detail, e.g. understanding of the correct format for data attributes: e.g. correct number of digits for a telephone number, email address formats etc. • A competent user of the full Microsoft Office suite with strong Excel skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with both internal and external customers. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Experience / skills required: • Advanced skills in Excel and Access with the confidence to use pivot tables, vlookup, and query building. • Familiarity with the main principles of database design and management. • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. inventory planning, forecasting)..
Training on the in-house systems will be part of the induction process.
