All children must be accompanied by an adult. Activities are suitable for children 4+, but younger ones will need some help.

See how people lived, worked and slept in the workhouse – with family trails and drop-in activities, this museum offers a look at life before the welfare system.
Tread the stone stairs worn by the feet of inmates at the Prison & Police Museum. Have a go at the tough punishments they were given as they served time in the cells. Downstairs, learn more about how policing has developed through history, take your own fingerprints and sit on our real police motorbike.
