The Black Swan, Burnbridge

Known locally as ‘the mucky duck’ The Black Swan is a great place to dine out with children.

In the summer there is a huge beer garden with a slide and a small playground.

There is a great kids menu and a traditional roast is offered on Sundays along with their a la carte menu. The friendly landlord Piers is a dad himself and so knows the score!

There is also a really nice walk from the pub, cross the road, go along Malthouse Lane, turn left through the woods (which is pretty steep so no good for prams), pass the playground on Crimple Meadows, follow the road up towards the Station but turn right on Mill lane. Feed the ducks at the pond, follow path alongside the duck pond which eventually comes out back near the Black Swan

The Pine Marten, Otley Road Harrogate

A gastro-pub with a fantastic menu and plenty of choice for children. It appeals to me because although it welcomes children and families (plenty of highchairs and booster chairs, friendly staff and a children’s menu) it still feels like a civilized place to eat out! The Children’s menu is well priced & includes a drink and has a great selection of delicious sounding food

The Swan on the Stray

Located on Skipton Road, The Swan offers fine ale & food to the folks of Harrogate.
