The historic Aldborough and Boroughbridge Agricultural Show is celebrating its 104th anniversary this year at Newby Hall, near Ripon on Sunday 23 July.
An inaugural tug of war will be staged to test the mettle of locals. Entry is open to all at £2 per person, with all proceeds going to MacMillan Cancer Care and a £100 prize up for grabs for the winning team.
Donkey, cattle and sheep showing classes will be on offer alongside the heavy horse classes and display, show jumping and carriage driving. A pet dog show and a vintage vehicle parade are just two of the other attractions. Locals will have the chance to show off their talents in an assortment of competitions.
Local produce and crafts will be available to buy at the farmers market and craft marquee. Visitors can enjoy afternoon tea while being serenaded by a traditional brass band.
