St Wilfrid Church are excited to announce their first ever free family film screening in the parish hall at St Wilfrid Harrogate. This October and November we will be exploring the idea of keeping memories alive, even when those we have loved are no longer with us. As part of this, we are inviting families to watch Disney Pixar’s Coco in our pop-up cinema in the parish hall. You can bring your own popcorn and snacks, refreshments will be available.
After the movie families can join us in the beautiful church for a very special children’s service of remembrance, where they can light a candle for a loved one, and even bring a photo to sit alongside the candle, inspired by the “ofrenda” in Coco.
The amazing team at Just B (the bereavement service run by Saint Michael’s Hospice) will be at the event to talk about the work that they do helping young people to deal with death and loss and answer any questions you may have about discussing bereavement with your children. The collection at the service will be in aid of Just B.
This event is possible thanks to the support of the lovely people at Fabric & Co. and Rascals Entertainment
Places are limited so if you do want to come along, email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a place.
