Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal May Half Term

‘Making Faces’ tree trail.

25 May – 2 June.

10am – 6:30pm with last admission at 4:30pm.

Head on a walk around Fountains Abbey and see how many clay faces you can find hidden in the trees.

Find the clay faces hidden on tree trunks around the estate. What faces can you make? Can you look fierce like a gargoyle? Or mysterious like a green man?

Take inspiration from the clay faces you find and have a go at making your own. Pick up fallen leaves, twigs and feathers on your journey to help make your own wild art clay face.

Pick up a trail sheet from any admissions point between 10am – 4:30pm.

Spring craft.

25 May – 2 June.

11am-3pm.

Join in with a free spring flower craft at Swanley Grange every day, from 11am – 3pm, during the May half term.

Cut, weave and colour your own spring flower. Pick your favourite wool and create a vibrant flower worthy of attracting lots of bees, butterflies and moths. We’ll provide the instructions and materials for this drop-in session all you have to do is turn up.
