Harewood is well known for its impressive House, stunning grounds and beloved play area, which many Mumbler parents will remember from their own childhoods! The time was right for an upgrade, and the new Adventure Playscape, created by expert designers TouchWood Play, will bring joy to families for many years to come.
Nestled into Harewood’s woodland, the Adventure Playscape welcomes you with an impressive three towers, linked by bridges and lookouts for climbing and clambering.
Exploring further in, more physical kids will run straight to the zip wire, while those in the mood for quieter play can explore the many natural nooks created among the trees. Slides, logs, pulleys and much more will encourage all sorts of open-ended play, inspiring young imaginations and building up an appetite for lunch!
Made of natural materials, the Adventure Playscape blends seamlessly into its green setting and creates a relaxing environment for hard-working grown-ups too. Pick up a coffee from the kiosk on your way to the Playscape, and pause for a moment to take in the sights and sounds of the woodland while you keep an eye on the kids.
There’s lots on beyond the Playscape at Harewood this Easter. The Great Egg Hunt, spring inspired crafts, games and activities, a springtime trail through the House and more give you a full day out to enjoy as a family.
Don’t forget that the best way to enjoy Harewood all year round is as a Member. 1-adult and 2-adult Family Memberships bring brilliant value (worth it in three or even two visits) whilst supporting the work of Harewood House Trust, the charity that keeps Harewood open for everyone to enjoy.
