UK Cottages

From Forest Bathing and Yoga in the woods, to Orienteering and Foraging Courses around the Druid’s Temple, to learning to Stone Carve and Weave Willow in the craft tent – this is a day out that offers a variety of woodland activities and countryside crafts for all ages along with guided walks around the Swinton Estate.

The day starts and finishes at Swinton Bivouac near Masham, from where walkers are free to roam on the Estate Trails, with activities running all day in the woodland, the Bivouac café and the ArtisOn craft tent.

We haven’t forgotten about your little ones. The Woodland School runs twice a day with children enjoying supervised play and exploration in the Druid’s woodland (suitable for ages 5-11yrs).

Complimentary Falconry Displays are always a huge hit, watch the gracefulness and precision of these amazing birds as they fly with exhilarating speed.

The Mountain Bike track will be open for those seeking some thrills and spills. With a variety of routes for differing ability levels to experience the jumps, bumps and downhill sections, please bring your own bike.

Let the creativity flow with craft activities for children in the Long Barn with a range of activities available.

The Cud Life, Killinghall

“We opened our little campsite in Killinghall last year and get LOADS of local families staying – one local family came 3 weekends running last year!! We have a campfire which we allow people to light on a Saturday night and this seems to be the biggest attraction.”

Tintage, Cornwall

We  went to a lovely place in Cornwall, called Tintage. It’s where King Arthur was meant to have been born.

We rented a lovely cottage in walking distance of the tow and whilst there visited the Edan project. There were lovely walks and lots to see and do. It also wasn’t far from the zoo. BH Oct 2013
