Do your children ever go to an activity camp and not really know anyone? Is it a bit of a challenge to leave them with staff they may never have met before? At Sporting Influence we very rarely don’t recognise a face. Teaching in over 25 schools in North Yorkshire, we are a familiar face to the majority of children who attend our activity camps. Our full time teaching staff, in which we have six teaching qualifications, are always in attendance at our camps as we hold our quality in high regard. In addition to this, if you don’t know us, we can nearly guarantee you will know some of the children who attend our camps, with such a wide range of children attending from sports clubs and schools you’re never far from a face you know.
If you are an early bird, or maybe just excited, you can join us at camp at 8am where the day starts with some board games, and relaxed activities upstairs in the chill out room.
A normal day at camp then starts with a 9am drop off. Children will be directed up to our chill out room to familiarise themselves with other children and tell stories of camps gone by. At around 9:30am the children are brought down to the hall for the first activity. Our mornings are always fun with Swimming and Arts & Craft a certain option, alongside another two options chosen by the children on the day.
At the end of the morning the children are taken to the dinner hall where they can eat their lunch in a civilised manor and have a small rest before an afternoon of fun starts.
Afternoons, again packed with fun sports and activities, will often include a Team Games hour where we bring all the children together and play some large scale fun camp games which the children love. This is all part of our ethos as a company to “Develop social skills through sport”. By 3:15pm the children are tired and need a rest, but not before we hand out our bands for those children that have shown one of our five social skills throughout the day! Along with a certificate this is presented for all to see just before it is time to leave.
If you can’t get enough and want to stay even longer. We have that covered too. Our Chill Out Zone, at the end of the day allows children to wind down slowly, with a youth club feel to it. Table games, a DVD or maybe a gentle kick about to end a brilliant day.
We would love to see you at our activity camp for some fun and laughter. If you are interested the please feel free to book online at:
