Eating Out Harrogate

Restaurant Reviews

Eating out with kids can sometimes be something of a challenge (understatement of the year!) There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants in the Harrogate area which really do welcome children and families so I’ve compiled a list of them here.

These places are not all ‘exclusively’ for families or children but they have all shown thoughtful touches or great facilities (things like pushchair access, changing facilities, highchairs and so on)

At Harrogate Mumbler we are always looking to ‘spread the word’ if we find out about any little gems, so if you know of a pub, restaurant or café that should be included in this listing then please contact us here.

Billy Bobs Parlour

Billy-Bob’s Parlour combines an awesome ice cream parlour and 1950’s American diner with amazing play adventures for diners up to 15 years old. You can drop-in for an ice cream, or come for a full meal and a play – the choice is yours! Be sure to check out our website before you come

Strid Wood Tearooms on the Bolton Abbey Estate

Strid Wood Tearooms on the Bolton Abbey Estate is a baby/ family place to visit.

“Calling all babies! Your parents need a break….bring them along to Strid Wood Tearooms! We are baby friendly which means we will do everything we can to make your visit happy and stress free (and we all know happy babies = happy parents).

We are breastfeeding friendly, we will warm your bottle, we have toys for you to play with and blankets you can lie on on the grass, we have plenty of space for pushchairs and have baby changing facilities a short stroll away, with complementary baby wipes/cotton wool in case your parents have forgotten any essentials ( mine often do!).

And whether your parents want a herbal tea/ decaf drinks or a triple expresso, we will look after them too.

Yorkshire Dales Ice cream farm

Off the A59 just past Bolton Abbey,  This is an amazing 1950’s style American diner which serves everything from sundaes, waffles, burgers, hot dogs and mac n’ cheese. It has a great outdoor play area and rumour has it, will soon be opening an indoor play area.
