Last week we were invited along to Web Adventure Park. It’s around a 40 minute drive from Harrogate, which makes it an ideal day out for the family this summer. The weather gods were on our side and the sun was shining but I must say – this is the kind of day out that even if it does rain (British summertime at it’s best), there is still so much to do indoors that I’m entirely convinced you’d still have a brilliant day!
Pretty much everything is included in your entry price. It’s £10.50 for adults, for children over one, prices start from £11.50. There is indoor play, outdoor play and a farm – so plenty to do! Throughout the summer there are entertainment shows as well throughout the day. When we were there we also got to see The Reptile Roadshow – for the brave creepy-crawly fans. We caught a bit of the lunchtime magic show too – which is held in a marquee outside – so all undercover!
There are over 22 attractions to keep you busy – including 11 exciting rides and TWO new bouncing pillows. We had three little Mumblers with us – aged 5, 6 and 10 years old. This was the perfect day out for them – the elder one spend most her time on the larger (and scarier) rides – which she could go on by herself – thank goodness! Whilst the younger girls enjoyed my kinda rides – carousel and tea cups! It’s a big area – but everything is in sections so you don’t get lost, and we could easily go on different rides whilst still keeping together.
Outside there is also a dinosaur themed crazy golf which the younger girls loved playing on. I’ve paid £12 before for a round of crazy golf at the seaside before, so this just goes to show how much value you get for your entry fee. There was also a HUGE outdoor play area, a tracker track and a brilliant sandcastle! With so much to do, we found there were no arguments or tantrums, everyone was just excited to go on to the next thing!
We spent all morning outside – there was hardly any queuing for any rides – a few minutes if that, absolutely plenty of time for everyone to go on what they wanted, more than once!
We headed to the canteen at lunchtime – which is in the main indoor area, along with all the indoor play. This is your traditional soft play area – but think BIGGER than you’ve seen before! Plenty of slides and ball pits – all the girls loved it! There are smaller areas for the really mini-mumblers, as well as a role play area and even a laser quest type area! It was a little bit of a wait for the food – both to order and to get your order, but totally expected given how many people they need to cater for. But it wasn’t an issue – the girls happily played whilst we ordered the food. Infact, the main issue was getting them to stop playing to come and eat it when it arrived! Lots of variety on the menu and the food was really tasty – big thumbs up from all of us! The cakes looked unreal – but we were all a bit too full!
After lunch, we went outside again – more scary rides for the big one, more tea cups for the little ones, as well as a decent play in the sandpit and on the trackers. It wasn’t until mid afternoon that we realised there was a whole other field we hadn’t even explored! With some more rides – all the animals AND the bouncing pillows, that was the rest of the day sorted!
We were really surprised when we checked our phone and it was gone 4pm – with so much to do it really is somewhere you can spend the entire day. We didn’t really spend anytime on the adventure playground, and there were a few rides we didn’t go on. So believe me when I tell you there is plenty to do!
All in all, a fab day out for all the family, and such a nice feeling to know that once you’re in everything is included. Whatever the weather, a trip to Web Adventure Park this summer is a must!
