It’s been a strange year so far for all of us, not to mention those of you that have welcomed little ones into the world during lockdown! Have you had a baby in Harrogate or Knaresborough during lockdown or during early 2020? The chances are you’re desperate to get out & about to meet other local parents but in a safe & secure way. Now restrictions are slowly easing, it’s great to see some of our favourite baby classes returning.
Having a baby, particularly if it’s your first is absolutely life changing. Your whole world gets turned on it’s head, and everything is new. It is so important to get out and about & meet other parents who are going thorough a similar thing. They won’t necessarily help you with your lack of sleep and your 3am worries, but it is incredibly comforting to know that you’re not the only one going through it all!
We’ve compiled a list of baby and newborn classes in the Harrogate and Knaresborough area that are re-opening post lockdown- some suitable from birth but most from 3-6 months. We hope a lot more will open in the coming weeks and months, and as they do we’ll add them to this blog. If you know of any that aren’ included then please let us know here & we’ll add them to the list.
Phonics with Robot Reg North Leeds and Harrogate
Fun and high energy! Classes for 3 months – 4 year olds written by early years specialists and presented by a fully qualified, 
experienced teacher to introduce the world of letters and sounds to your little ones through play.

Little Gym – Harrogate
The Little Gym have already started their Little Bugs classes but you can still sign up! Its suitable for 4 – 10 month olds and takes place on Fridays at 2.45pm. 
The greater the new experiences your child has in every class at The Little Gym, the more opportunities their brain has for growth! And that enhanced brain activity and efficiency will provide the foundation for more complex levels of learning in the future. And what an exciting future that is for your little Bugs!

This is such a fab group and gets so much love on our Facebook Chat Group! It’s a lovely walk and then cake around the stray. You just turn up – it 10am every Friday meeting near the St George’s roundabout.

KidsLingo Spanish
Classes are starting back week commencing 21st September at Chain Lane Community Hub in Knaresborough. They have a class on Thursdays suitable for 0 – 18 months.

Hartbeebs
Always a favourite amongst our community! I’ve lost count of how many Mumbler Awards they’ve won! Their Baby Bells classes are suitable Newborn to sitting and are taking place on Monday Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Bookings haven’t gone live yet but as soon as they do you’ll be able to book here.
Knaresborough Thula Mama: Sing to Your Baby
Lovely class for newborns. Currently taking place outdoors on Friday morning from 10.15-11.15 am on a very large private green space on Greengate Lane in Knaresborough. £5 per class and they are looking at moving to an indoor location soon.
