Now Open! Harrogate

Now Open!

We will continue to update this page as and when things start to re-open.  If we’ve missed anything please let us know on harrogate@mumbler.co.uk

We’ve heard it directly from the Harrogate Borough Council- it’s official!

“It is wonderful news that the play areas can officially open on 4th July 2020

We will be giving them a thorough inspection in the week leading up to the reopening to make sure that they are safe to use.

We need to remind everyone to keep the social distancing as much as possible, bring your own hand sanitiser with you and wash your hands when you get home.

We are expecting the play areas to be busier than normal to begin with. We want to appeal to people to keep their visits short so that everyone gets a chance to play and if a play area is really busy then please come back at a quieter time.“

Diggerland

Diggerland is ‘Good To Go’ and reopens on 11th July!

Covid-19 Update:

Reopening on Monday 8 June. To help you have a safe visit, they’re asking everyone to book in advance to access the abbey and water garden. Please note, Studley Car Park will remain closed.

Take part in your biggest ever game of hide and seek on your visit to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal. Hide in all corners of the large abbey ruins before following the river to the water garden. Race around the moon ponds, see the swans swimming and discover the winding dark tunnel. Emerge from the tunnel to find three fun buildings called follies along this woodland path.

Be sure to have a playground adventure. There are things to wobble along, jump over and climb on…you’ll find a wooden abbey, a woodland house, scramble nets and posts, swings, fireman’s poles, a slide, a roundabout, a gigantic rope bridge and a huge zip wire for the most daring adventurers of all.

Have a well-earned sit down with a seasonal meal in the newly refurbished restaurant, tuck into tea and cake with a lakeside view at Studley tea room or a sweet treat at Mill Café.

If there’s still oodles of energy left visit the deer park. Admire the views down to Ripon Cathedral and see if you can spot the deer. There are three different types from small fallow deer to the largest of them all: red deer.

There’s lots to do but don’t worry if you can’t fit it all in this time – we’ll be here another day! Become a member on your first visit and come back for free as many times as you like. Plus, get the feel-goods about it as every time you scan your membership card, you’re contributing towards the essential conservation work we do.

Please note that minibuses and motorhomes will not be allowed. Unfortunately, pedestrians without a car will not be able to visit at the moment – this is to reduce contact upon admission.

Have you ever dreamt of stepping into an utterly enchanted realm? Deep in the captivating woodland, filled with fairy rings and secret doorways, pixies are waiting to play!
Tread carefully through the land of the woodland people and keep your eyes peeled as you follow the trail to see their tiny houses. Play in the wilderness like real pixie folk, dance like a fluttering fairy and discover the secrets of forest folklore.
