At the bottom of the show ground carpark in Harrogate there is a river which is great for paddling in. Either park at the Squash club and walk from the top end or park near Fodder. Why not make a day of it & buy your picnic from Fodder or finish off with tea in the Travellers Rest which is just a short walk away (and has a great kids menu & is dog friendly too)
