If you are, like so many families, currently running on adrenaline and praying to see the lockdown finishing line then you are not alone.
Dr Laura Powling from Harrogate based Evolve Psychology Services tells us that they are speaking to lots of young people and parents who are struggling to support their own and their children’s emotional wellbeing.
“We are also increasingly seeing families where the intensity of lockdown and stresses of Covid-19 have exasperated or revealed traits and behaviours in their children leading to them seek support.”
The big question is where is the local support and how do get start the ball rolling, today?
Evolve Psychology Services offer children, adolescents, adults and families Autism, ADHD, Emotional Well-being assessments, psychological therapy and support services for emotional and / or behavioural difficulties.
“We provide families and individuals with full assessments and therapeutic services as recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence” says Dr Powling.
Evolve draws upon the skills of a growing team of Clinical and Forensic psychologists, with backgrounds in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, Looked After Children’s Services and Adult Mental Health/ Learning Disability Services and Forensic Psychology. The team now includes Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, and Assistant Psychologists. If you would like to have a talk to Laura or the team at Evolve Psychology Services about yourself or your family then please get in touch. They can help.
