Role : Sales and Marketing Manager – Part time (2-3 days per week)
Location : Harrogate
Reports to : Owner / Managing Director
The job holder will be responsible for driving business development activities to establish new growth for a well respected Harrogate based storage and logistics company. This is a front end sales role with the job holder being required to locate leads, make contact, prepare proposals and ultimately convert new business with the support of the owner/MD.
Sales of Storage, Fulfilment and Exhibition logistics services including negotiation and contracting. Activities to achieve this will include :
Market research and lead generation
Cold Calling ( Telephone and in person )
Networking in the local business community
Use of social media as required to aid lead generation
Developing and presenting compelling client proposals
Negotiating prices, commercial arrangements and contracts.
Management of CRM system and sales pipeline
Marketing support to aid lead generation
Key Attributes & Experience
Minimum 5 years Proven Sales experience ideally within Logistics or other similar environment.
Ability to self manage workload and prioritise activity to ensure Job goals are met
Demonstrable ability to seek out and convert new business
IT literate with appropriate knowledge of MS Office and WEB based applications
Current driving licence and use of appropriate vehicle
Other Job Features
The role is initially 2-3 days per week and based on a 3 month contract. Hours can be managed flexibly by agreement (but typically within day hours Mon-Fri)
The role is based in Harrogate but it is envisaged there will be significant local travel and some national travel required.
