In response to ongoing advice and activity related to Covid-19 (also known as coronavirus) we are doing everything we can to provide a quality experience, ensure your safety and provide maximum flexibility. We will therefore be taking a different approach to our Easter Adventure this year, with a few changes to our original event listing to minimise risk to any of our visitors.
We are taking precautionary measures to ensure that there is continual movement of people through the park and no areas where a large group would be in a confined space. For visitor safety, there will no longer be a viewing area for hatching chicks, and our actors won’t be interacting for this event which will reduce large gatherings of crowds and physical contact.
All activities are outdoor, so families can enjoy our Easter experience without the stress of navigating confined public spaces. Spending time in green space can benefit both your mental and physical wellbeing. It can improve your mood, reduce feelings of stress or anger, and make you feel more relaxed.
We recommend all visitors, especially schools and groups, follow guidance on prevention methods, which includes ensuring the washing hands regularly and covering your mouth or nose with tissues when coughing or sneezing.
In consideration of this change to our Easter event, we will be charging off-peak prices of this event instead of peak. For those of our visitors who have already pre-booked their tickets at peak price, we will refund the difference upon attending. We are committed to providing the best customer experience. We acknowledge that travel plans will change at short notice. Online bookings can be amended to a later date at no extra charge, to do so email firstname.lastname@example.org
Bookings will be transferrable only for sessions of equivalent value, but no refunds will be given in accordance to our Terms & Conditions.

Join us at Northwood and enjoy the beautiful fairy trail in spring sunshine, the perfect combination of imagination and fresh air. Our fairy museum will also be showing an exhibition of spring fairies and have an additional scavenger trail of spring hares.
Northwood Trail is nestled in a 100 acre wood at Buttercrambe close to York and this delightful woodland fairy sanctuary is the first of its kind in the world. The eco-aware sanctuary is off grid and, quite uniquely, designed to appeal to adults as much as children. As well as a beautiful woodland trail, it also includes an intriguing Fairy Museum, to display what is believed to be the world’s largest collection of fairy artefacts, collected over many years by owners Carolyn and Christian.
Northwood is about fostering a connection to nature, at its most beautiful and magical. The woodland trail winds through 1.5km of old fairy paths, peppered with fairy tree houses, stump houses, a willow walled maze and Elven thrones. There is also a natural play area for smaller children and den building for older kids.
In keeping with the sustainable ethos, a stylish woodland kitchen will be serving organic teas and coffees as well as healthy and delicious local food.
Please note, as car parking is limited tickets are only available online, with pre allocated slots making for a calmer experience.
