Throughout the year, Ashville holds a series of open events aimed at families looking for a place for their child for the upcoming academic year.
Join us for our next open Day on Saturday 8th March 2025. Find out more and book your place via our website today.⠀
We offer several Open Doors events which allow families to look around the campus and facilities and meet members of staff and pupils on a typical school day.
Ashville’s Saturday Open Mornings allow a more in-depth look at the school and provide families with information about co-curricular clubs, pastoral care as well as individual subject areas. Families will hear from our Head Mrs Rhiannon Wilkinson, key members of staff, and our pupil leaders.
For those interested in entry to Sixth Form, an Open Evening in the Autumn Term allows prospective pupils and their parents to meet Ashville’s dedicated Sixth Form team as well as A Level and BTEC subject teachers.
Personalised visits are available on a date to suit you.
Taster Days are on offer for different areas of school. Come along to our Autumn Year 7 Taster Day or our Spring Sixth Form Taster Day to experience life as an Ashville pupil. On these days, subject sessions are offered alongside a hearty breakfast and lunch. To visit Ashville, call 01423 724863, email [email protected] or visit the website.

“We value every child as an individual and seek to nurture their talents and abilities, to enable them to become the very best they can be. We want our pupils to enjoy their time with us, to be curious, to be passionate, to work hard, and – above all – we want our pupils to be inspired,” said Sue Woodroofe, Principal.

We’ll be opening the doors to our family of schools again on Friday 2 May – why not come along and find out what makes us different! Our Whole School Open Morning includes Highfield Prep and Pre-Schools and Harrogate Ladies’ College and is the perfect introduction to our family of schools – particularly if you haven’t visited before.
The Open Morning takes place on a normal teaching day which is important to us, because it means that you get to experience the vibrant atmosphere, observe how students engage in their learning, gain a deeper insight into the curriculum and the types of projects your child would be working on, and to look round the amazing facilities that we have here at Harrogate Ladies’ College.

The School Where Self-Belief Thrives
Queen Margaret’s School for Girls is the school where self-belief thrives. By combining a girls-only education with supportive staff and small class sizes we create the most effective environment for nurturing self-belief. The individual support our girls received earned us the title of ‘Small Independent School of the Year 2023/24’. Established in 1901, we’re a day and boarding school for girls aged 10-18, located just six miles south of York
NEW for 2025!: QM has announced that it will open its doors to students in Year 6 from September 2025. Girls aged 10-11 will be able to attend from September as day students; Queen Margaret’s already operates shuttle bus services from York City Centre and Pocklington to its school grounds in Escrick Park.
Open Events in 2025
QM Open Days run a little differently to most schools. You’ll be given a personal appointment with Head, Nicola Dudley, and you’ll see the school in action when you have your own tour of the school with current students. The school prides itself on a personal approach from your very first enquiry.
