Stump Cross Caverns is currently closed, we are very much looking forward to hopefully welcoming you back from Friday 4th December! We are busy working away making Stump Cross into a veritable Winter Wonder Land! We’ve got plenty of Festive goings on for all the family to enjoy – to avoid disappointment we advise that you book online early, we’re expecting to be very busy this Christmas!
Stump Cross Caverns is the ideal family day out – located 30 minute drive out of Harrogate, nestled on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, its not just a series of show caves they have on offer!
I mean the show caves are pretty spectacular! You can book online and go down in your own bubbles – we stagger entry down there so you should have an interrupted tour! There are plenty of designated places to pass if you do meet other bubbles down there. The caves are amazing, so many interesting facts to find out about them. And find me a child that doesn’t like them, my daughter thinks she’s on the moon when she goes down there and loves putting on her hard hat and leading the expedition! They also have a fairy door trail down there which will keep the little ones engaged, to be honest it kept me engaged too! You collect the trail questions from the front desk, and each fairy door will tell you the answer to one of the questions. So good fun and informative!
As well as the caves there is The Time Cafe, which serve some of the best food I’ve ever tasted! Very much gastro pub standards! Everything is cooked freshly to order. Again, you can book a table online – they will take walk ins but it gets very busy so I’d recommend you book online! A great kid’s menu, so many deserts and cakes and you should see the size of their sausage rolls! Over the Festive Period they’ll be lots of Christmas favourites on the menu too!
Talking of Christmas, Rocking Santa is back! Join us and our Rocking Santa for a special start to your Yuletide festivities! To keep with social distancing guidelines, you can book a private 10 minute family appointment with Rocking Santa in his cinema room grotto. A maximum of 6 people per appointment and get a gift for every child! £5 per child. Every weekend from December, and all week from 19th December until Christmas Eve. Book online early, this is gonna be a sell out!
The Time Out Pod is also another great way to celebrate the festive season. Something a little bit special! You can rent our Time Out Pod for £6 per person, again its up to a limit of 6 people* (or more if you’re from one household or bubble). You can then have your own private dining experience with the most spectacular views! You can order food from The Time Cafe, if you have anything specific you’d like just give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.
We are also renting our Cinema Room out – and its proving really popular with families! Again, its up to 6 people* – and you get the entire cinema to yourself! Order food and drink from the cafe and make an afternoon of it! We have HUNDREDS of films you can choose from, or feel free to bring your own!
