The Sibling Group is a registered charity (1207168) that supports siblings, families and people with SEND. We run sibling groups for children ages 6-11 who have a disabled brother or sister in Harrogate. We focus on siblings’ well-being and happiness and give them a safe space to meet others with similar experiences. We run groups and trips monthly. We offer a range of activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, cooking and baking and lots more. We also run trips such as going to museums, farms, parks and lots more.
We also now run a learning disability adult day provision called Oscar’s Pathway. This is part of our charity and for adults with complex communication and sensory needs. All activities are sensory based with a focus on developing engagement, communication and independence. All activities are run by an experienced SEND teacher with extensive training on this area of need.
The Sibling Group was founded as our CEO has a younger brother Oscar who attends a local special school and has very complex needs. The Sibling Group is dedicated to give siblings and adults with complex needs the support they deserve.
