Hello Harrogate Mumblers!
My name is Sarah Johnston from Homes4Harrogate I am a local letting expert and I am looking forward to giving you lots of help and advice on a range of topics which will include getting your house ready to let, the ideal type of property to rent out and serious topics such as how to deal with rent arrears.
I started homes4harrogate in July 2017 after working for one of the largest agents in Harrogate for over six years. I loved my job but often felt that the personal service was missing and that landlords and tenants found it increasingly difficult to stick to agents rules on “office hours” and there was always tons of paperwork!
I love the community feel that Harrogate has and I pride myself on ‘giving back’ with free advice in video and written form and not to mention my regular property seminars.
After working for over eight years in Harrogate in the lettings industry, managing a portfolio of over 1,200 properties I decided that it was time that Harrogate had a modern, flexible and proactive letting agent. One who makes the full use of social media and offers help and support outside of normal office hours.
As families will appreciate, with landlords (whether they be accidental or full time portfolio landlords) time is in short supply. My aim is deal with everything for you, freeing you up to spend precious time with your family and get the most from your investment allowing you extra treats like holidays.
Increasingly, we all have extremely busy lives and my job is to make landlords and tenants lives easier. Every landlord or tenants situation is different and that is what homes4harrogate is based around. With experience of managing over 1,200 rental properties and fully Arla Propertymark qualified, I can offer you a hands-off service allowing you the quality family time you deserve.
Who knows, the extra bit of honest and up-front advice may increase your investment and get you an additional holiday!
Over the coming months I am looking forward to sharing advice on everything from changing legislation which could have severe consequences to how to prepare your home for let, to hints and tips on how to update your rental property and everything in between. I also run quarterly free events for local landlords and those interested in lettings and will tell you more about those in future blogs.
Thank you for welcoming me to your community and I look forward to speaking to you all soon.
Sarah
