Fountains Primary School is opening its doors to prospective parents. They are excited to welcome families with children due to start in Reception next year or those with older children looking to transfer to the school.
The school is set in the wonderful North Yorkshire countryside, but is still just 7 miles from the centres of Ripon and Pateley Bridge. It provides an environment that gives children a first-hand experience of the outdoor classroom, taking part in Forest School sessions and using their vast outdoor space to enhance the curriculum.
The school has a dedicated, caring and supportive staff and uses PE and Music specialists to deliver a curriculum which allows children to flourish in all subjects. Children regularly take part in sports events and competitions with other local schools and take part in swimming lessons at the local swimming pool. They offer wrap around care, with a breakfast club before school and Fountains Fun Club running after school as well as a range of other extra-curricular clubs for children of all ages to enjoy.
The school has been rated good both OFSTED and SIAMs. OFSTED found that “Pupils clearly love coming to this school. They appreciate that teachers make the learning fun. Pupils are clear that this is a very caring school.”
Fountains Primary School is welcoming prospective families to come and visit the school throughout the autumn term. Guided tours will be given by staff and they will happily answer questions about the school.
A spokesperson said:
“At Fountains Primary School a sense of family is very important to us and we want our children, parents, teachers, helpers and members of the wider community to come together as part of the Fountains family.”
“It is important that our children believe in themselves and the possibilities available to them, to learn by embracing challenge, questioning the world around them, reflecting and not being afraid to take risks so that they flourish as unique individuals and the role models of the future.”
The school are able to offer tours at times and dates to suit. The school website is www.grantleyfountains.co.uk
