Coppice Valley is a unique school – a peaceful oasis of nature, quiet and calm, safely tucked away from the main roads. We are Harrogate’s hidden gem, having a large playing field, wildlife area and meadow.
At Coppice Valley, we are known as the school with heart. Our staff work hard to make sure everyone feels cared for, safe and valued. We treat every child as the remarkable individual they are.
Our vision is to create learners for life – children who are enthused with a love for learning. This all begins in the haven of nature we have on our doorstep, here at Coppice Valley.
At Coppice Valley, our aim is to inspire our pupils to love learning. We believe in the power of education to change lives for the better through learning and meaningful experiences. Good relationships are at heart of our school – our ethos is warm, supportive and family friendly.
Our purpose is to nurture the growth of the whole child – socially, emotionally and academically – during their journey with us at Coppice Valley.
Our curriculum is enriched with experiences and learning that build character, extend cultural knowledge and develop social, moral and spiritual learning. Coppice Valley is unique in our area of Harrogate as we are fortunate to have extensive grounds tucked away from the main roads. Our curriculum is designed to make good use of our grounds for our pupils’ benefit but also with a focus on supporting our local community e.g. pupils have designed a community garden in the school for our neighbours.
Coppice Valley is an academy school, part of the Red Kite Learning Trust.

Our Vision of ‘Love, Learn, Thrive’ alongside Christian Values provides the framework for all aspects of school life and underpins the daily experience for everyone in our schools.

We are incredibly proud of the rich and varied curriculum on offer to our children. It is our aim to offer the best learning opportunities in a modern world. Children are central to all we do; we strive to make them resilient and to inspire them to achieve their ambitions and dreams. We design our curriculum with this in mind and are constantly reviewing it to suit the needs of the children in each school.
Individual children and their families are important to us. The needs of our children always come first and we work closely with parents/carers building positive relationships that help contribute to the work we do.
