Open every day for half term, 10 ā€“ 18 February 2024, and free to National Trust members and under-fives.

Grab a free winter trail following two friendly dogs around the garden to become an Awesome Architect. Covering all ages, Dick the little pup is for little children with Rover, the bigger pup for older children.
Head over to the Wilderness Play Area to find your favourites on or spend time in the den zone. Clamber on the stacks, cross the rope bridge to the slides and choose from one of the swings ā€“ the pendulum is perfect for the more adventurous.
The youngest family members havenā€™t been left out with tunnels, balance beams and a Wendy House to get their imagination going. Thereā€™s a mini clamber stack for smaller legs and accessible bucket seats in swing spots.
If it rains, head in the National Trust Hall. Spot the faces in the carvings and count animals in the tapestries. Upstairs in the art gallery have a go making poetry and if youā€™re inspired, head off to take your photographs.
Dogs are welcome in most areas of the garden, but please keep them out of the play area for everyoneā€™s enjoyment.
