At Mumbler we love to know about what is on for local families during the school holidays. We have around 10,000 local parents each month visiting our website so if you have an activity or event that you’d like us to publicise, then please tell us about it by filling in this form.
If you want the most exposure, choose a “Featured” listing for just £10 per month +VAT. Featured listings are placed alphabetically at the top of the page, include plenty of details and all of your website, social media and email contact and a photo or company logo.
If budgets won’t stretch, we’re still happy to tell the local Mumblers about your event with our free basic listing. Basic listings go lower on the page and have a 50 word limit with phone number only.
Art Club runs every school holiday, offering children age 7-11 an opportunity to explore art and crafts through various fun activities. Contact Katie to book your child’s place or for more information. Every session is £10 per child for 3 hours. New for 2019, February Half Term Family Fun – Eco Superheroes
Create bug hotels, get your hands dirty and learn how to compost or embark on an eco-hunt around the garden. Youngsters will learn about the health properties of plants as well as the benefits of being outdoors in the fresh air.
The daily garden trail runs from 16 Feb – 3 March and daily activities weekdays from 23 Feb – 1 March (10am – 3.30pm)

So join us this February Half Term, 25th February – 3rd March for some wholesome family fun. The Yorkshire Event Centre will be transformed into an indoor funfair ensuring that whatever the weather it won’t ruin your plans or dampen your spirits!
You can expect to find your favourites again including Dodgems, Waltzers, Cup and Saucer, Mini Miami and an Inflatable Play Centre as well as new rides for you to try including Go Gator, Twister, Frozen Swing and the Ghost Train plus many more as well as prize winning games stalls (extra charges apply) including Hook a Duck and Whack a Minion!
We listened to feedback and our session times have changed slightly for our February Half Term Funfair, the funfair runs every day from 25th February until 3rd March, 10am – 5pm, during this time two sessions are available, 10am-1pm then 2pm-5pm. Tickets are available to purchase for £10pp (under 3’s free) as well as non rider tickets for £2. This year we also have a family ticket, offering funfair goers 4 rider tickets for £35. Hesketh Farm Park in Bolton Abbey will be opening its gates for the first time this year during the North Yorkshire February Half Term (25th Feb – 2nd March) and will then be open each weekend in March which is new for 2019.
Farmer Chris, his wife Sue and their team on the farm have been busy over the winter making sure that all of your favourite activities are ready for Spring. The go kart track has been renovated, there’s a brand new Big Green Tractor for budding farmers to ride, the playground has been spruced up and the indoor maze has a fresh layer of straw.
A brand-new Sand Pit has been built, with 3 interactive play zones including tunnels, shoots, levers and excavators. If you wrap up warm and the sand pit is perfect for cooler days this Spring. Grab a cuppa from our café to keep your hands warm while your little ones play. Don’t forget you can bring your own picnic. We’ve got a large indoor and outdoor picnic zone.
During Half Term and on each weekend we’re open we will be offering lamb and calf feeding, egg collecting, pig brushing, guinea pig petting and tractor rides.

This is going to be magical! We’re screening the legendary Mary Poppins in the historically glorious Royal Pump Room Museum. In true Mary Poppins style, there will be a 30-minute magic show, with a professional magician, before the film starts. Children might even learn a trick or two and some are inspired by the film itself!
We will then go onto film the 1964 classic starring Julie Andrews embarking on a series of fantastical adventures.

Ahoy me hearties and all merpeople out there! Come and spend your February half term with the Grange Partnership @ Bilton Grange School.
It’s mermaids and pirate week so we will have our amazing pirate role play for you to shiver your timbers and make those pesky land lubbers walk the plank!
Over the week we will be getting messy with face painting, making slime, playing with sea foam, baking pirate cupcakes and digging for treasure on our very own pirate beach.
We have lots of crafts lined up for you from paper plate sharks teeth to making your own treasure map, jelly fish and parrots.
There will be an array of mark making for you so you can get creative with stencils, ink pads, charcoals and puzzle pages.
We welcome children from 3 years upwards. Please contact us to discuss your child’s needs if they are under school age.
We will be playing outside (weather depending) everyday and we have got our quiet corner all good and snuggly if you just need a sit down and a rest.
Youngsters are invited to unleash their inner eco superhero and enjoy a range of all-weather eco-friendly activities during half term at RHS Garden Harlow Carr in Harrogate (25 February – 3 March 2019).
Green-themed activities include a chance for children to make their own superhero mask from recycled household materials. They can get their hands dirty sowing seeds, making bug houses and learning how to compost and hear tall tales of real life eco superheroes with the Garden Detectives. A daily garden eco-hunt trail starts on 16 February.
