Our school-based nursery serves The Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation, but is located at St. Cuthbert’s Primary School in Pateley Bridge. The federation also includes Glasshouses School and Fountains Earth. All three schools, in the federation have recently been judged as ‘Good’ schools by Ofsted. Being part of a federation of 3 schools means that parents have more choice when it comes to the school that they want their child to attend. Each of our schools offers something quite unique. Being nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means that we are able to offer an excellent environment, both inside and out, for children to begin their educational journey. We believe that teacher led provision gives the best possible start and gradually introduces children to the world of primary education.
The children enjoy a wide range of activities from creating masterpieces in our arts and crafts area; making music and learning about the natural world around them. Developing a love of reading is at the heart of everything that we do. We ensure that children receive quality story time throughout the day as well as starting to learn phonics to begin to develop children’s reading and writing skills – the opportunities are endless!
Children spend time in our outside area, including our designated Forest School area. Being a school based nursery, our younger pupils are able to have a little taste of what being part of the school is all about and introducing them to the Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation family.
We offer a range of term- time options for those who are looking to take up their 15 and 30 hour entitlement. Full days run from 8.40am to 3.15pm. We also offer half days either in the morning or afternoon.
