Families planning a day trip in York this Easter will be able to travel on the city’s bus network all day for just £5.50 for 5 people, just £1.10 each, using an All York Family Ticket. If you’re coming from Harrogate, drive over and use one of York’s 6 Park & Ride sites.
The offer was previously available for a trial period during summer 2023, with more than 36,000 families taking advantage of the discount.
The ticket, which usually costs £9.60 per day, is one of several fare reductions currently available as part of York’s Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), which is funded by the government.
The All York Family ticket will be available from Saturday 23 March until Sunday 1 September. It allows up to 2 adults and 3 children to travel on all of York’s operators, on any bus journey which starts and ends within the city of York boundary, including the Park and Ride (but excluding tour operators).
York’s Park & Ride services allow you to travel to York by car, park for free in secure car parks and complete your journey into the city centre by bus. There are 6 Park & Ride sites:
Passengers can simply buy the ticket on board using cash or contactless payment.
