Steps Ahead is a free national one-to-one mentoring programme for parents or carers of any age who are looking to return to work after time away or those considering a career change.
We offer free one-to-one virtual support, matching you with a mentor to help you find and secure a job. And the best part? Our mentors are experts in people at work, they know what employers are looking for and how recruitment works.
Support tailored to your needs
The programme is completely free and includes one-to-one sessions with a mentor who has been specifically matched to you. We have over 1300 job mentors with expertise from over 25 sectors giving the industry insights you need to get back into work.
Sessions take place remotely (via telephone, email or video calls) and are flexible to your needs. Mentors can help with practical advice on everything from polishing your CV and developing LinkedIn profiles to building up confidence ahead of an interview.
