Glastonbury cancelled and our beloved Deer Shed festival postponed, how on earth can we replace our usual fast pass to fun and adventure?
Family fun certainly looked different last summer and this year’s ‘top 10’ still looks precarious. The social calendar looks uncomfortably empty, the scars of ‘Zoom Birthdays’ still smart but can we wait it out for our pre-planned fun events to come back? What else can we do?
Pre-Covid19, we thought nothing of throwing a party but the last year had really taken its toll and drastically limited our guest list. How can you get your head around hosting again after being locked in the spare bedroom video conferencing all year?
Our challenge is to find new family fun activities, within the limitations; geography, group-size and lockdown rules. It’s time to dig deep, get creative and re-learn how to be spontaneous.
What is a Silent Disco?
One of the best new ideas has to be hosting your own Silent Disco. No longer just for festivals but now perfectly packaged up to run from the comfort and safety of your own home.
Silent Disco is ideal for kids’ parties and smaller gatherings inside or out – spontaneous or planned. A socially distanced alternative to clubbing and festivals and a chance to have a long overdue dance off with family and friends. It’s perfect for venues with noise restrictions or for families with neighbours who don’t share your love for music!
Hosting a silent disco is easy with Silent Disco Queens, affectionately known as SDQ. They supply the latest equipment, fully sanitised with all the support and advice you need to nail the perfect party. Just get lost in the music, bust some moves and have fun.
