Christmas and New Year can be magical times…but for some young people – like Holly – its just that time of year when the evenings are getting darker and colder – so its not great to be hanging out on your own, whether in town or in the park or playground.
That’s what Holly seems to be doing more of just recently, because things haven’t been right at home for what feels to her like a long time…but now her friend Sam’s mum has contacted social services because she was concerned, so maybe after all, things could change for the better!
Here’s where you could come in …if you have a spare bedroom and could offer a warm welcome and some support to a young person like Holly, we’d love to hear from you!
By offering a short-term emergency home with Fostering North Yorkshire, you can help to get things back on track for young people like Holly – we’ll provide training and support, plus great payments for every night you care. There’s lots of other types of fostering we are recruiting for right now, too!
There are other young people like Holly out there right now, even over the festive season.
