Breathe and be offers yoga classes for the little people in our lives, from babies through to teens. It aims to help children feel happy, healthy and balanced.
Rebecca is the founder of Breathe and Be and previously worked as a primary school teacher for ten years. I began teaching children’s yoga on the weekends as I wanted the children I worked with to be able to access and experience the many benefits of mindfulness and yoga in a way that made sense to them.
After the birth of my daughter, I began teaching yoga full time and you can now find me teaching at schools, nurseries and studios around Harrogate.
After attending baby massage classes with my daughter, I knew this was something I wanted to add to my offering. I have recently qualified as a Baby yoga and massage teacher with a qualification accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I will be offering a new Baby Yoga class at Pannal Village Hall on Wednesdays 10.30-11.30, with a baby massage class to be confirmed soon. My aim is to provide a welcoming and safe space for mums and babies to enjoy some quality time together whilst learning the highly beneficial yoga and massage techniques. Class sizes will be small (a maximum of 10 people) to allow Rebecca to adapt the classes to the needs of each mum and baby. A little bit more about these classes and the benefits can be found below.
Customer testimonial- “The classes exceeded my expectations, easily. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the yoga aspect and my son loved it. I always left feeling relaxed too. We do the leg circles and foot taps (including the song) every day. It always makes him smile. Genuinely going to miss these sessions. I’ve never felt more comfortable at a baby class. Rebecca is a natural with both mums and babies!”
My classes use music and baby yoga techniques to aid physical, cognitive and sensory development while promoting special bonding time between you and your little one. Classes start from 8 weeks old until cruising/walking. You don’t need to have any experience of yoga to enjoy Baby Yoga together.
