For those who aren’t familiar with reflexology, it is a holistic therapy; which means taking into account the mental, emotional and physical wellbeing of each client. Reflexology works by balancing any disturbances within your body, combating areas that are out of sync. A reflexologist will massage points on your feet, hands and face (referred to as reflex points) that correspond with areas and organs in your body. Ultimately, the goal is to return the body and mind to their optimum state allowing the energy to free-flow around the body and we start to heal.
Work, family, friends – not to mention the global pandemic we have lived through – throw daily challenges our way that leads to a variety of problems like stress and anxiety. Untreated, our bodies become out of sync, leading to common health issues such as headaches, joint pain, sleep deprivation, exhaustion, low moods and anxiety. Unfortunately the majority of us ignore the messages our body gives us. We plough on and gradually our physical, mental or emotional self can take no more.
Through reflexology I help bring my clients back into balance, encouraging deep, restful sleep, lowering stress and anxiety levels, alleviating aches and pains, migraines and perimenopausal symptoms. Working from my private and peaceful reflexology studio in Harrogate, its all about the detail. I have an amazing couch to recline you into your most comfortable treatment position, so my pregnant, elderly or clients suffering with pain can find a comfortable position with ease. My couch can be heated to gently warm your body, easing lower back aches and pains and essential oils lift your soul, while candles relax your senses. My treatment room is spotlessly clean, meeting all Covid hygiene standards with private parking adjacent to my therapy studio and easy access with no stairs to climb.
My facial treatments use a beautiful facial elixir with a unique blend of oils and herbs to enrich your skin and lift your spirits. Soothing rose quartz crystals, jade gua sha, facial rollers, facial cups and acupressure tools help to rejuvenate your inner self, wiping away the daily stress, softening the lines and refreshing the face.
Combining facial reflexology and restorative foot reflexology makes for a Supercharged reflexology treatment. Beginning with a 45 minute facial reflexology treatment to release tension in the facial muscles and scalp, breaking down the naturally occurring uric acid deposits. I continue on the feet with 45 minutes of restorative reflexology balancing the corresponding reflex points, creating harmony and well-being.
Reflexology can help you on your fertility journey too. Many factors affect fertility, from lifestyle factors – stress, diet, smoking etc. – to health problems such as PCOS and Endometriosis. Fertility reflexology treatments work with your natural cycle to regulate, reduce PMT symptoms, reduce stress levels, encourage sleep and increase the quality of the egg. Reflexology treatments also work alongside IVF/ICSI protocols, increasing the effectiveness of the protocol.
