We are a wedding, events & festival caterer (www.hgfd.co.uk) COVID has left us massively in danger of losing our business after 10 years of hard work and if we lose our business it means we lose our staff and our………..everything.
SO we, being ever optimistic decided to stick to what we know and buy some fantastic produce, box it up sell it to locally keep afloat, in April 2020 we set up HGFD Produce, launched our website and set about delivering fantastic market fresh fruit & vegetables with some success. We quickly teamed up with our butcher R&J Catering butchers and added meat, not just any meat some of the best in Yorkshire. They are the only butcher to supply every Michelin star restaurant in Yorkshire, it’s that good!
We quickly built a reputation for quality and customer service, something we have always taken pride in with our Wedding and events business. With all our events postponing and cancelling and perhaps because we are a little crazy we decided to commit to this business even further by opening a farm shop in Langthorpe, Boroughbridge a fantastic venue we are starting to make our home. We have fields for weddings and events, a great café bar area and have the same great produce available now available in store.
With lockdown 3.0 we really wanted to keep moving forward and decided to start using our skills to showcase our meal boxes, the same quality you would get at one of our weddings or in our café but you can take all the credit for it at home.
