Mumbler Review
I had no idea what to expect when i was invited to go to Adventure Babies at Crimple Hall. Elodie being only 9 weeks old I wondered if the class might be too old for her.
I love the venue at Crimple, it’s such a beautiful location and the coffee and cake is excellent. Good coffee and cake is what every sleep deprived parent needs.
The class is sensory based and ran around a theme. The theme of the class that I was lucky enough to attend was ‘Going on a bear hunt’. The lovely Helen who runs the class is so welcoming. The class starts with a run around the group introducing themselves and their baby. I was happy to meet so many mums with Little one the same age to Elodie. Some of the babies had been going since 2 weeks old. The introductions were a lovely ice breaker, nice to connect with people in similar parenting situations.
The session started with a story which sadly Elodie slept through but the sensory bag we each were given was filled with great sensory props, the rest of the babies in the group absolutely loved it. When the glow in the dark wands came out after the story it was lovely to see the babies faces light up! We then got to break off to different sensory areas. Water play, sensory lights, taste safe mud, and rustling grass. Elodie’s favourite bit was the parachute games and bubbles at the end. Even at 9 weeks you could see how excited she was about the whole experience.
Adventure Babies class is such a lovely experience for both parent and baby. The main thing I loved was the sense of community and connection Helen facilitated between the parents. Everyone was so welcoming and were happy to stay and have a coffee and cake at the end. I would highly recommend especially if you are looking to make new mum friends.
