It’s been a couple of weeks since we gave you a round up of what we’ve been up to as most of us have been away on our holidays. We’re back and this is what we’ve been up to recently!
Sally had some older Mumblers to entertain the last couple of weeks. They went to Piglets – great fun whatever your age! Everything apart from the Play Barn is open and they now have the beach too. They have fantastic measures in place – lots of posters and cleaning stations. For a full review click here.
They also hired a little red boat on the river in York (£40 for an hour up to 8 guests) it was brilliant! There is a 20% off offer on
York mumbler currently. A brilliant idea – and especially loved by the older kids!
I’ve had some wonderful days out recently. Firstly we went to Hesketh Farm. We booked online and arrived at our allotted time. Really brilliant set up – lots of funny signs to make sure you keep your distance! Inside adults are asked to wear masks. Me and my little one loved brushing the guinea pigs! Almost every hour there is something for the kids to get involved with, feeding animals, brushing them and even collecting the eggs! Their cafe is open with lots of indoor seating areas. There are still play areas indoors too, although some are closed. Outdoors is brilliant. The best views and so much space! Lots of play ground equipment, go carts and the biggest sandpit ever! You can bring your own picnic too. Plenty of extra hand santiser stations dotted about. Its a great day out, we had a fab day and even if the weather isn’t great there is still lots to do indoors too!
I’ve also had a few trips up to RHS Harlow Carr. I absolutely love it here and so glad its on our doorstep! You have to book in advance. The play area is open, as are all the food outlets on-sight. A brilliant day out!
Kate and her tribe went to Stump Cross Caverns last week. The kids loved it! You have to book your slot online, they only let one group down at a time, in ten minute intervals to make sure everyone can socially distance. They have hand santisers everywhere and you always see someone cleaning! A brilliant and secure day out. The cafe is fantastic too – it can get really busy as there are less tables now so its advised to book online too. The caves are brilliant, we we’re down there for about 40 minutes but could have stayed longer – they have a little fairy trail too that my daughter loved!
She’s also been to Studfold Adventure and Fairy Trail for their fairy trail! Another brilliant day out and felt very safe – a big thumbs up!
Evie’s been up to Fountains Abbey this week. Another firm favourite. Their play area is now open too which is brilliant news! You have to book in advance online. Tickets are released on a Friday for the coming week. There is a one way system in the cafe and entrance log and lots of hand cleaning stations. Its all outdoors and Eddie loved bombing around the ruins!
So we’re now coming into the last week for many! What has everyone got planned?
