Over the last 6 years The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt has raised £12, 265.01 for local charities. This year the charities that will benefit from funds raised are Harrogate Young Carers, Resurrected Bites and Mamas Matter CIC.
The bunnies are hand painted in designs, patterns, and inspired by characters and recognisable personalities and products.
Every year Laura gets asked what the theme is, the truth is there has never been a theme! But for the first time ever – this year there is! Can you guess what it is?!
The gorgeous bunnies will also be up for auction at the end of the hunt as usual in an attempt to raise more money for this years charities. Keep an eye on The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt Facebook Page for more details.
A map with the locations of the bunnies is hand drawn and painted along with this year logo by local artist Helen Salmons who is The Relentless Crafter.
The maps are printed by local amazing printers Sid Horners and Sons and can be purchased from for £4 from The Knaresborough Pop Up Shop, 67 The High street.
Bunny hunters use the map to find the bunnies, fill in their form and hand them back in to receive a sweet treat, a sticker and entry to a daily prize draw. All prizes have been donated by local businesses and supporters.
The Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt gives the whole community a cheap activity that they can make last all day outside in the fresh air getting exercise.
Businesses and Knaresborough as a whole receive increased foot fall and marketing. Local charities receive funds and advertising. It’s an event that benefits all involved.
This year there will be free (donations welcome) crafting activities towards the back on the ‘Bunny Head Quarters’ at the Pop Up Shop, as well as goodies to buy, photo opportunities and even The Great Knaresborough Bunny!
A huge thank you to this years sponsors
