The Harrogate Mumbler Awards are an annual celebration of the very best local family related business, attended by around 300 local business owners, parents & childcare providers.
Feel free to nominate in all categories or just specific ones. We’ve changed things a little this year and you can now nominate in the same category more than once – just not for the same business/individual. That way if you have a few favourites you’d like to see in the short list you can nominate them at this stage! Once nominations are closed and we open voting for the shortlists we’ll go back to one vote per person.
SAVE THE DATE
Saturday 25th November 2023 at the The Crown Hotel Harrogate

Trusting someone else to take care of your children is a difficult decision to make however we regularly hear from Mumblers just how great the childcare provision in our area is.
This category is to celebrate the nursery that Mumblers love the most.
Should your nominated nursery be part of a multiple provider, please ensure that you specify the individual location of the nursery and its name, rather than just stating the group to which it belongs. Any nominations of nursery groups will not be considered.

Highly Commended: Busy Bees, South Drive

Pre-schools are wonderful for getting your youngsters ready for the transition into “big school” and we want to recognise those who are going above and beyond your expectations.
Please nominate in this category if you want to let your child’s pre-school know that you really appreciate the work that they are doing in caring for and preparing our children for school.
Should your nominated pre school be part of a multiple provider, please ensure that you specify the individual location of the pre school and its name, rather than just stating the group to which it belongs. If a pre-school with multiple sites is nominated without referencing the location, the nomination will not be considered.

As Harrogate is fast becoming the destination for Christmas, we thought it was only right to honour all the local businesses that make Christmas so special.
This isn’t just open to Father Christmas experiences – but any family Christmas experience that makes Christmas extra special to you and your family.
Christmas is steeped in tradition and we want to know which local attractions are part of your family traditions. Do you go to a Pantomime every year without fail, is there a Father Christmas experience that is the real deal when it comes to your family, perhaps even a restaurant that do a festive afternoon tea or something similar. As well as Christmas markets, posting letters to Santa and Christmas lights – theres so many Christmas events to choose from – which is why we’ve given it it’s very own award category!
We have so many brilliant family events that take place locally every year.
You can nominate a one off event or series of events that have taken place from July 2022 – July 2023.
Please note – Christmas events should be nominated in the previous category.
Did you have a memorable day at Carnival, enjoy a local King’s Coronation party or go to a Halloween or Easter event every year without fail? Is the Great Knaresborough Bunny Hunt, Stray Bonfire or Knaresborough Bed Race an annual event you and your family never miss?
Fire work displays, dog shows, festivals, charity events and car shows just to name a few. If it’s family friendly, we’d love to hear your favourites.
The Mumbler “Community Award” was developed to honour a person or group of people who are making significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents and dedication. This is someone who goes above and beyond to ensure that they help the community in their own special way.
Persons being nominated for this award will have consistently demonstrated qualities of compassion, and service to either one organisation or a variety of volunteer activities over the past year. They can be nominated or nominate themselves.
This Award (unlike the others) is not judged on number of votes, but rather the detail & information provided by the person nominating. The winner will be chosen by Your Harrogate & Mumbler staff.
Nominations open on 1st July and will close on 29th October.
2022: Winner: The Living Room and Børn of the Forest
Community Award Nomination Form.
