It’s typical that as I’m writing this the sun is shining! After months of sitting in cold, wet, outdoor places the Government has given the go ahead for the next stage of easing of restrictions! Which basically means we can now play indoors! We thought we’d do a little round up of what Harrogate has to offer for families when it comes to days out, inside!
Another little gem that we can’t wait to see re-open on 17th May! They nearly didn’t make it – but thanks to a really successful Crowdfunded earlier this years they are ready to re-open better than ever! If you’ve never been – book your tickets now! It’s one of our favourite family days out! Kids just love the caves, as do the adults! The food is AMAZING, think gastro-pub style. There is also a great shop and a cinema room you can rent out! We’ve already booked our trip – which you can do online!
Harrogate Library has been open for a while now. My daughter has been going with Granny on a Saturday morning now for a few weeks. It’s been a life saver – especially on those really wet days!
The Hydro is now open you must pre-book in advance. Lane Swimming and family sessions are available. Everybody aged 12 years old and over will need to wear a face covering in the communal areas.
I know this is strictly an outdoor day out – but thought it was worth mentioning that as of 17th May they will be opening their animal barn back up with lots of baby animals for the children to see!
This is the one my daughter has been waiting for! She can’t wait for the horse and wagon rides, dressing up and the shoot outs with Sheriff Lee! The Wild West Play Village is also open for their unique and brilliant play experiences throughout the week – apart from Monday when they take a well deserved break! Tin Can Valley, Cowboy Shoot Out, Spooky Gold Mine all to explore as well as the Rodeo Bounce House. And that’s just downstairs – every Princesses fairytale dreams await you upstairs! A great day out for all the family – take my word for it, parents enjoy it as much as the kids! I can confirm the cakes and ice creams are a delicious! Booking is essential.
Everyman open their doors again on 17th May and we cannot wait! The best place to come and watch movies – the chairs are so comfy and you get food and drink served to your seat – what’s not to love? The bar area is fab too – this was always a staple for us for a coffee. The area is huge – so plenty of space for buggies, theres a lift too so no issues there either!
They also do a brilliant Baby Club – watch a movie with your little one whilst enjoying a complimentary hot drink! E Baby Club is every Tuesday, starting on the 18th with Nomadland. Booking essential!
Little Bees (was Kidzplay) had a big make over last year! They too can’t wait to open their doors to you all on 17th May. It’s a safe and spacious indoor play settings specially designed to fuel play. There is soft play, baby sensory AND role play villages, as well as a brilliant cafe serving drinks and snacks. We will definitely be booking a play date in here soon! I’m sure I don’t need to keep on saying this, but just incase – booking is essential!
